Improvements and inventions in the tech industry over the last 10 years has enabled the people to drive and create a variety of technologies. These innovations and improvements are not stopping soon. Today, we have Russ Felker with us to talk about at what pace technology is innovating and reengineering human interactions. Russ is CTO at GlobalTranz and talks about the harmful impacts of implementing technology without knowing the thoughts behind these inventions and what people can do to cope with these loopholes.
1. Technology is enhancing person to person interactions, leading to much better outcomes for everyone. But sometimes, technology takes the path of replacing human interactions instead of augmenting it, causing panic about new implications of technology.
2. Technology is creating a tech first society instead of people first society, changing behavioural patterns. It is enabling unintended consequences for humans like shortening attention span.
3. Thought behind the implications of a tech is lacking because there is more delivery of what people want to know instead of what they need to know. This is good on the outside but limiting the people’s perspectives and ability to see the both sides of an issue
4. Technology is not a defining part of our lives. It can only influence our decision making. Because this generation is technology driven and we have to be involved but the way of being involved can be different and that enables freedom.
